Today was less than ideal. Today I felt forgotten, today I felt alone. On a very emotional drive home this talk came on my phone. I replayed this section of the talk over and over again and I knew that I wanted to share it with you. I know that I'm not the only one feeling this way today and I hope that this brings the same comfort to you as it does to me. You may not have anyone here on earth that you can always rely on but there is one person who will never forget you. Our Heavenly Father is always there! That truth doesn't make it easy but it makes it possible to bear.

Happy Sunday
I've never shared my testimony online in this way but in the spirit of sunday I would like to share my testimony of my brother and savior Jesus Christ.
I know that individually we each have a very different and unique relationship with Christ. I want you to think about your personal relationship with him as I share my thoughts.
How often do you take time to strengthen that relationship? Do you think of him daily? How often do you talk to him? Are you mad at him for things in your life that aren't going as planned? Or do you allow your love for Christ to shed light on every aspect of your life?
Song maybe
I testify that I know my savior lives! I know that he knows me personally and that despite all of my short comings that he loves me unconditionally. I testify he know and loves you the same. He knows your struggles, he knows your fears, he knows every emotion you feel for he has felt them as well. He felt for you, so he could help you through them! He wants you to know that you are never alone! He is always there, waiting patiently for you to open the door and allow him in. This week I challenge each of us to recognize opportunities to open the door of our lives to the savior.

Happy Mother's Day!
My heart is full of gratitude and love to all the wonderful mothers I am surrounded by. I have been blessed beyond measure with the incredible women that have been placed in my life. These women have guided my path time and time again and have helped strengthened my testimony. I know that Heavenly Father is proud of his daughters and their amazing work in raising and loving his children.
My mother is the most amazing woman I know. She has been dealt a difficult life but has handled it graciously. She is the most giving and loving person you will meet. I love her with my entire heart and will forever be grateful for all she has given me. I love you mom! Happy Mother's Day!
I would like to wish every mother a very Happy Mothers Day! The world would not be the same without you! :)

Finding Happiness
Today was rough. It was one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong. The more I thought about what went wrong, the more it weighed on me. When I realized how much it was effecting me, it bothered me even more that I had chosen to let it get to me.
We hear all the time that we are in control of our own happiness, but it's harder than it sounds. Today while I was sitting in one of my classes I looked up happiness quotes on google images, which is where most of these images came from, and I got an idea. I wanted to create a post strictly of pictures and quotes that promote happiness! Everyone needs to be happy! I think too often we forget that we're in control, we have the power to take the extra steps needed during rough days to be happy. I want to challenge myself to make the decision to be happy every day and not let life get me down. I challenge you as well! :)
Life is hard at times but we've got this! :)

Join Us for General Conference
As I have stated before I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Twice a year we gather together and listen to the prophet speak to us. We have two sessions on saturday and another two sessions on sunday. If you aren't able to watch it during those times the church is wonderful at making them available online as quickly as they can. Here There's nothing I look forward to more than conference weekend!!! I hope you all can make time to watch it! :)

Welcome
Hi my name is Heidi. I have attempted blogging several times in my life. I use to think that I had to have different blogs for the different things I wanted to blog about. For example I had a church blog, a quote blog, a blog about my life and a blog about my experience while I was living in china for a semester. Exhausting right?! No surprise that none of them lasted.
This blog is going to be about my life, and everything that makes up my life. There are going to be two main focuses throughout my blog.
First and most importantly I will be sharing my beliefs. I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints (commonly known as Mormons). I would be no where without my religion, it truly makes up every aspect of my life and brings me so much happiness.
Secondly, I want to share a very sacred part of my life that I have only shared with a very small amount of people. Words can not express how nervous I am and how exposed I feel writing this post. Even though I have gone through dramatic measures to keep this part of my life secret for so long, I can honestly say that I am now ready to share it with you.
Three years ago in April I placed a beautiful little angel for adoption with an incredible family here in Utah. I could go on for hours telling you about how much I love and adore her and her sweet family but I'm going to leave you hanging for a little bit and break the story into parts. (Part 1 coming very soon) :) I will tell you this, that the adoption is very open and I absolutely cherish every moment I get to spend time them. They have instantly become family and I couldn't love them more! I hope that you can be understanding, excepting and supportive as I open up and share my story. :)
